John McAdams ’37 earned 3 letters in basketball and 2 in baseball. A sophomore leader of the undefeated 1934-35 Buckeye Conference championship basketball squad, he was named to the UPI All-Buckeye and AP All-Ohio teams. McAdams received All-Buckeye honors again his junior year, though he played in six conference games. His senior year, McAdams was a unanimous choice for the AP and UPI All-Buckeye teams. He was the top conference scorer and high Bishop point marker with 223 tallies in 18 games. In baseball, McAdams was versatile on defense as a shortstop and outfielder, as well as a powerful hitter.
