John DeLong ’84 was a 2-time All-America selection in men’s tennis. His senior year, he won Ohio Athletic Conference championships at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles. He advanced to the NCAA Division III championship tournament in both singles and doubles, advancing to the second round in doubles, and finished the season with respective ITA rankings of No. 17 and No. 16 to receive All-America laurels. As a junior, he finished as OAC runner-up at both No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles, and advanced to the NCAA Division III tournament in both before finishing 17th in the final ITA rankings.
