Ed Curreri ’65 was a 2-time All-Ohio Athletic Conference selection as a pitcher in baseball. His senior year, he went 8-2, tying the school record for wins in a season, and his 1.24 earned run average was the fourth-best in the Bishop record books. Ohio Wesleyan won the OAC championship and advanced to the NCAA College Division playoffs that year. He batted .421 as a sophomore, ranking second in the OAC. He ranked among Ohio Wesleyan’s career leaders in complete games, strikeouts, and earned run average. Also a standout in football, he led the Bishops in rushing and was named the team’s Most Valuable Player as a sophomore, and set season and career records for punting yardage.
