Travis Schwab ’04 won second-team All-America honors as a basketball post player after an impressive senior season. As a freshman, he won a starting spot and compiled 33 points and 13 rebounds vs. Wilmington in his collegiate debut. He concluded the season with 27 points in an NCAC tournament semifinal game vs. Wittenberg and was named to the all-NCAC tournament team. His 478 points set an Ohio Wesleyan freshman record. He was a first-team All-NCAC selection and was named NCAC Newcomer of the Year. His sophomore year, he averaged 16.9 points and 6.8 rebounds per game and repeated as a first-team All-NCAC pick. As a junior, he led the NCAC in scoring (21.2 points/game). In addition to repeating as a first-team all-league citation, he also received second-team all-district honors. His senior year, he ranked second in the NCAC in scoring (20.9 points/game). He finished his career with a 40-point outburst in the NCAC tournament semifinals against Wooster, setting an NCAC tournament record, and was named to the all-NCAC tournament team. He was a first-team All-NCAC pick and was named NCAC Player of the Year, and went on to win first-team all-district and second-team All-America honors. He was the first men’s basketball player in NCAC history to win 4 first-team All-NCAC honors. During his career, he scored 1985 points (second all-time at OWU, third all-time in NCAC) and grabbed 760 rebounds (seventh all-time at OWU).
