Laura Marean ’99, an All-America swimmer, was a 2-time honorable mention All-America and 2-time All-NCAC performer in the 100 backstroke. As a freshman, she won the 100 backstroke at the NCAC championship meet. At the NCAA meet that year, she finished 10th in the 100 backstroke and added a 25th in the 50 freestyle and a 28th in the 200 backstroke. Her sophomore year, she won All-NCAC honors with a second in the 100 backstroke and was a member of relay teams that finished fourth in the 200 and 800 freestyles. At the NCAA meet that year, she finished 12th in the 100 backstroke to repeat as an honorable mention All-America pick. As a junior, she helped the 200 freestyle relay team finish fourth and the 800 freestyle relay team place fifth at the NCAC meet. Her senior year, she helped the 400 medley relay team place seventh at the NCAC meet.
