Howard “Chip” Jarrett ’85 was a 3-time all-league men’s basketball player who ranked second on the team in scoring 3 times and in rebounding 3 times. He averaged 11.5 points and 4.0 rebounds as a freshman, then earned the first of 2 honorable mention All-Ohio Athletic Conference citations as a sophomore after averaging 14.7 points and 5.8 rebounds per game. He ranked second in the OAC in field goal percentage as a junior while averaging 16.7 points (ninth in the OAC) and 5.6 rebounds per game. He was a second-team All-North Coast Athletic Conference selection as a senior after finishing eighth in the league in scoring (16.4) and seventh in field goal percentage. He finished his career with 1558 points, ranking fifth on the all-time Bishop list.
