A 4-time All-Midwest selection as a midfielder in men’s lacrosse, Chuck Narwicz ’77 was a key contributor on Ohio Wesleyan’s first NCAA playoff teams. As a freshman, he ranked fifth on the team in scoring with 19 goals and 9 assists and received second-team All-Midwest Lacrosse Association honors. Ohio Wesleyan was 9-2 overall and 8-1 in the MLA that season. His sophomore year, he was fourth on the team in scoring with 25 goals and 12 assists, and was a first-team All-MLA selection. The Bishops were 9-5 overall and 8-1 in the MLA. Ohio Wesleyan made its first NCAA playoff appearance that season, losing to Hobart. As a junior, he ranked fourth on the team in scoring with 23 goals and 15 assists on the way to first-team All-MLA honors. The Bishops went 12-3 overall and won the MLA title with an 8-0 record, then defeated Kutztown State and Cortland State in the NCAA playoffs before falling to Hobart in the national semifinals. His senior year, he was third on the team in scoring with 20 goals and 21 assists while repeating as a first-team All-MLA pick. Ohio Wesleyan was 8-5 overall and won the MLA title with a 6-0 record, and the Bishops defeated Towson State in the NCAA playoffs before losing to Washington (Md.) in the quarterfinals. During his career, he scored 87 goals and collected 57 assists (currently third on OWU career list for midfielders). His 144 points ranks fourth on the OWU career list for midfielders. The Bishops were 38-15 during his 4 years, winning 2 MLA titles and reaching NCAA playoffs 3 times.
