Bill Nutting ’76 was a 2-time All-Ohio Athletic Conference selection in baseball.  On the diamond, he was an honorable mention All-OAC selection during his sophomore year and a second-team pick his junior year after batting .352 and stealing 17 bases.  In football, he began his Bishop career as a quarterback, throwing for 1012 yards as a freshman.  His junior year, he moved to tailback.  He finished second on team in rushing in each of his last 3 seasons and rushed for 1318 yards during his career.  Nutting served as team captain in both baseball and football and received the Putnam Award for career contributions to the baseball program.  He was selected to play in the College All-Ohio Shrine Bowl football game at Ohio Stadium in December 1975.
