Jen Durgin ’98 was an All-America attacker in women’s lacrosse. As a freshman, she led the team in scoring with 22 goals and 12 assists and was an honorable mention All-NCAC selection. She did not play her sophomore year but returned her junior year and helped Ohio Wesleyan field one of its best teams. She scored 4 goals as the Bishops defeated Denison, snapping the Big Red’s 49-game winning streak in conference games. She scored the game-winner against Denison in the semifinals of the conference tournament, sending the Bishops to the tournament championship game for the first time. She finished with 41 goals and 10 assists to rank third on the team in scoring and was a first-team All-NCAC choice. Her senior year, she set an Ohio Wesleyan record with 58 goals, leading the team and scoring and ranking second in the NCAC in scoring average. She was a first-team All-NCAC and NCAC Offensive Player of the Year selection, and was a second-team choice to the Brine/IWLCA All-America team. Her 118 career goals set an Ohio Wesleyan record.
