Cindy Geiss ’94 was a 3-time national qualifer in cross country (twice) and outdoor track (once) and was a 16-time All-North Coast Athletic Conference honoree (3 in cross country, 6 in indoor track, 7 in outdoor track). She was a 3-time All-NCAC honoree in cross country, finishing ninth as a sophomore for second-team honors, then taking first-team honors as a junior and senior with sixth- and third-place finishes respectively. Her senior year, she placed ninth at the NCAA regional meet to advance to the NCAA championship meet, where she finished 55th. Indoors, she won All-NCAC honors in the 1500- and 3000-meter runs, helping Ohio Wesleyan to a conference championship her senior year. Outdoors, she finished third in the 3000 at the NCAC meet her freshman year as OWU won the conference title. Her sophomore year, she won the conference title in the 5000-meter run. As a junior, she posted all-conference finishes in the 5000, 1500 and 3000. As a senior, she again was all-conference in the 3000 and 5000 and qualified for the NCAA outdoor meet that year in the 3000, finishing ninth, missing eighth place and All-America honors by 1/100 of a second.
