Rob Alvino ’88 was a 2-time first-team All-America attacker in men’s lacrosse. He was a first-team All-America, All-Midwest Lacrosse Association, and All-North Coast Athletic Conference pick as a senior, earning MLA and NCAC Player of the Year honors after leading the Bishops and ranking third in the NCAC with 38 goals and 24 assists. As a junior, he had 24 goals and 37 assists to rank fourth in the NCAC in scoring and was a first-team All-America, All-MLA, and All-NCAC selection. He led the NCAC in scoring as a sophomore, finishing with 31 goals and 38 assists on the way to first-team All-MLA and All-NCAC honors. During his freshman year, he had career-high totals of 44 goals, 38 assists, and 82 points, ranking second on the team and third in the NCAC in scoring. He finished his career with 137 goals, 137 assists, and 274 points, ranking fifth, second, and second on the respective OWU career lists. The Bishops went 58-11 during his 4 seasons, including back-to-back appearances in the NCAA Division III championship game.
