Jeff Krigbaum ’04 won All-America and Academic All-America® honors as a defender in men’s soccer. He lettered as a midfielder his freshman year. As a sophomore, he started 7 games and collected a goal and an assist. The assist was a timely one, coming on the game-winning goal in an NCAA first-round game at Otterbein. His junior year, he won a starting spot at defensive midfield and scored once while adding 3 assists on the way to first-team All-North Coast Athletic Conference honors. As a senior, he moved to the backfield and collected 4 goals and 4 assists to rank fourth on the team in scoring. He was named Most Valuable Player of the adidas® Invitational after wins over Olivet and Methodist, and was named to the all-tournament team at the NCAC tournament. He was a first-team All-NCAC, All-Ohio, and all-region selection, and went on to receive third-team All-America and first-team Academic All-America® citations. During his 4 years, Ohio Wesleyan was 77-15-3 (.826) with 3 conference championships, a national semifinal appearance, and 2 quarterfinal appearances.
