Jon Whithaus ’91 coached men’s golf at Ohio Wesleyan from 1997-2009. During his 12 seasons, the Bishops won 36 tournaments, including 16 during his last 3 seasons (2007-09), captured 8 North Coast Athletic Conference championships (7 during his final 8 seasons), and appeared in the NCAA Division III tournament 11 times, recording 7 top-10 finishes. The 2006-07 team finished third in the nation, while the 2002-03 team tied for third nationally. He coached 17 All-America golfers and had 3 individuals place among the top 5 nationally, including the 2004 individual national champion, and was named NCAC Coach of the Year 7 times. He also played golf at Ohio Wesleyan, lettering 3 times and twice earning second-team All-NCAC honors.
