Wally Cross ’52 was a 3-year letterman in football. As a senior, he played halfback on defense and tackle on offense in helping Ohio Wesleyan compile an 8-1 record and win the Ohio Athletic Conference championship with a 6-0 mark. That year, he intercepted a pass at the Bishop 15-yard line to stop a Denison threat in OWU’s homecoming win. His junior year, he played quarterback on offense and helped Ohio Wesleyan to a 5-3-1 overall record and a 4-0-1 mark in the OAC, good for a second-place finish. As a sophomore, he lettered as a halfback.
