Tom Bangert ’51 earned 4 letters in football and 3 letters in track. Known as an outstanding defensive tackle, Bangert was selected first-team All-Ohio his senior year and was voted honarary captain of the Ohio Wesleyan team. In addition, Bangert made a major contribution to the OWU track team through his ability in the discus and shot put.
