Jeff Nieman ’09 was a 4-time All-America selection and 2-time North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Year in golf. As a freshman, he ranked third on the team with a 76.21 average. He tied for eighth place at the NCAC tournament, winning second-team all-conference honors, and tied for 22nd place with a 304 at the NCAA Division III tournament, receiving third-team All-America honors. Ohio Wesleyan finished second in the NCAC tournament and tied for sixth place at the NCAA Division III tournament. His sophomore year, he led the Bishops with a 74.83 average. He was second in the overall conference standings with a 671 in the 4 NCAC events. At the NCAA Division III tournament, he finished in fourth place with a 296 for first-team All-America honors. Ohio Wesleyan won the NCAC championship and placed third at the NCAA Division III tournament. As a junior, he led the Bishops with a 74.81 average. He finished the conference schedule with a 667 to win the Dick Gordin Award as NCAC Player of the Year, which that year recognized the overall medalist in the 4 conference events. At the NCAA Division III tournament, he tied for 50th place with a 309 and received third-team All-America honors. Ohio Wesleyan won the NCAC championship and finished 14th at the NCAA Division III tournament. As a senior, he led the team with a 72.98 average. He won both the Bob Nye Award as the medalist in the final 54-hole event and the Dick Gordin Award as NCAC Player of the Year with a total of 640 in the 4 conference events. He tied for eighth place at the NCAA Division III tourmament with a 293, winning first-team All-America honors. Ohio Wesleyan won the NCAC championship and finished seventh at the NCAA Division III tournament.
