Clarence Hendricks ’34, one of the state’s premier collegiate basketball big men (a 6-3 center) of the era, led Ohio in scoring as a sophomore with 193 points in 18 games (10.7 average), and led the Buckeye Conference with 131 points in 12 games (10.9 average). He scored a game-high 21 points in a 45-37 win over Denison. Named first-team All-Buckeye by the Associated Press and All-Ohio as a sophomore, he was a second-team All-Buckeye pick by AP at forward as a junior. He suffered a knee injury in the opening game of his senior year and saw action in only a few games, but he was able to play with brothers Russ and Clark that season. Ohio Wesleyan tied for second in the Buckeye Conference in 1932, placed second in 1933, and won the title in 1934.
