Richard Seiler ’72 was a 2-time All-America lacrosse player and team Most Valuable Player. Seiler returned to coach the Bishops to 3 NCAA tournament berths in 4 years, Midwest Lacrosse Association titles in 1976 and 1977, and a 38-15 record. He was the first Ohio Wesleyan coach named National College Division Coach of the Year. That honor came in 1976, when he led the Bishops to the NCAA semifinals and a No. 3 national ranking.
