Daina Stankevics ’88 was Ohio Wesleyan’s first All-America women’s lacrosse player. She was named All-America as a defender her senior season despite the team’s 2-9 record. Also a first-team All-North Coast Athletic Conference selection as a junior and a senior, she was named team MVP and captain both years. An honorable mention All-NCAC pick as a sophomore, she recorded her first collegiate assist in a game vs. Wittenberg. She also lettered 2 years in field hockey, leading the team and ranking third in the NCAC in scoring with 13 goals and 3 assists as a sophomore. She scored 4 goals to help the Bishops to a 3-game sweep of the GLCA tournament. She scored 8 goals as a freshman to rank third on team in scoring.
